Renovation of a municipal facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Kent County Purchasing Division is soliciting bids for a cooling tower replacement for the Kent County Sheriff Administration Building located at 701 Ball Ave Ne, Grand Rapids MI 49503. The current cooling unit is an Evapco ATW 25-5G. The County is seeking to award based on the preferred brand, model and overall cost with installation, which we deem to be most advantageous. Preferred brand and model: Evapco ATW 25-5G or comparable product (comparable equipment must be stated as an alternate in vendor response) Replacement unit should be new, not refurbished with specifications comparable to the current Evapco ATW 25-5G unit Remove and Dispose of current Evapco unit Supply, install, and insulate all piping needed Supply any permits needed Supply any crane service needed Start up and system check to be performed by vendor The project will need to be completed during regular business hours and by the end of the year, but after the cooling season. (September or later depending on the weather). Each contract over $50,000 must be accompanied by a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each payable to the Owner (County of Kent) and each in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract price with a corporate surety approved by the funding agency, for the faithful performance of the contract.
