For furnishing all labor, materials, tools and equipment, and performing all work required including all appurtenances for the following OLIVES BRANCH DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT. As set forth in the plans and specifications the project is designed to perform drainage improvements in easements and along the right-of-way of six residential properties: 100 Olives Branch Drive, 101 Olives Branch Drive, 102 Olives Branch Drive, 104 Olives Branch Drive, 106 Olives Branch Drive, and 322 W Shady Shores Road. The drainage improvements along the W. Shady Shores Road right-ofway include removal and replacement of a concrete driveway, removal and replacement of a 24-inch driveway culvert with a 6-foot x 2- foot concrete box culvert and headwalls, and replacement of a 15-inch driveway culvert with a 6- foot x 2-foot concrete box culvert and headwalls. The scope of work includes relocating and moving drainage obstructions, regrading swales along rear yard drainage easements, regrading ditches along road rights-of-way, filling in low areas, removing and replacing segments of fencing, replacing driveway culverts, and re-sodding disturbed areas as required. Proposals shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check on a state or national bank in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the possible total of the bid submitted, payable without recourse to the Town of Shady Shores, Texas, or an acceptable bid bond for the same amount from a reliable surety company as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and execute required Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after notice of award of contract. The notice of award of contract shall be given to the successful bidder within ninety (90) days following the opening of bids. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond upon the form provided in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and a material and labor Payment Bond upon the form provided in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price from a surety authorized under the laws of the State of Texas to act as a surety on bonds for principals. The right is reserved, as the interest of the Owner may require, to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in the bids received, and to select bid best suited to the Owner's best interest. The contractor, to be successful in bidding this project, shall have completed a minimum of three (3) projects of similar size and scope within the past five years. A maximum of sixty (60) calendar days will be allowed for construction.
