Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Placerville, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The pavement condition on Benham Street between Big Cut Road and Pacific Street has deteriorated to a state of disrepair and is in need of rehabilitation. The project will address the failed pavement conditions by performing a 3" grind, recompacting existing subgrade, and placing a 3" Hot Mix Asphalt overlay. The project also includes minor concrete work at a few locations, including: a valley gutter to convey drainage; removing an existing curb to add Caltrans Type A2 curb and gutter; and removing and replacing curb, gutter, and sidewalk to construct two ADA-compliant curb ramps. Benham Street also has on-street parking, and a Striping Exhibit is attached for the striping to be included in this project. This is considered a roadway maintenance project in nature and is locally-funded through the City's Measure L sales tax. As such, this project is subject to all local regulations, including the City of Placerville Municipal Code, and all provisions for wage rates, civil rights, etc. Because the project is located directly adjacent to the City of Placerville Aquatic Center, construction of the project is to must be completed prior to the facility's summer season opening on June 1, 2022. The successful bidder will be required to furnish, prior to performance of any work hereunder, a payment bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price, and a faithful performance bond in the amount of equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.
