The Carroll County Office of Procurement, in cooperation with the Bureau of Utilities, is soliciting bids from pre-qualified contractors to provide the labor, material, equipment, and services necessary to construct the MD 851 - Main Street Water and Sewer Main Improvements project. The project site is located in Sykesville, Maryland and the primary scope of work is on MD 851- Main Street. Additional work will be performed on Baldwin Drive, Sandosky Road, Oklahoma Avenue, Church Street, and Wilson Avenue. This project is being coordinated with the Bureau of Utilities' MD 851 - Springfield Avenue Water and Sewer Main Improvements project. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Carroll County Department of Public Works prior to bid opening. For this project, the bidder must be pre-qualified for Category M. - Utilities; Numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4. Please see the PREQUALIFICATION section on Page 4 under General Information for additional instructions. The PREQUALIFICATION DEADLINE IS MAY 11, 2022. Bidders must submit their questions through the Public Purchase web site, using the instructions below. Questions must be submitted by no later than 4:00 PM EST on Thursday, June 2, 2022. The County is not obligated to award the contract to the apparent low bidder, and specifically, reserves the right to waive informalities, to reject any or all bids and to award the contract in its entirety, or in part, whichever in its opinion best serves the interest of the County. In addition, bids may be rejected if they show any omissions, alterations of form, additions or deductions not called for, conditions or uninvited alternate bids.
