The work for which proposals are invited consists of the construction of Sanitary Manhole adjustments including excavation, removal and replacement of adjusting rings, removal and replacement of sanitary frame and lid, installation of an external chimney seal, one manhole reconstruction, backfill and site restoration. All construction to take place in Northbrook, Illinois in the county of Cook. Bidding documents obtained in any other manner shall not be used in preparing bids. Neither the Owner nor the E/A will assume any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the Bidding Documents not obtained as indicated above. PROPOSAL GUARANTY Each proposal must be submitted on the proper forms contained in the Contract Documents and shall be accompanied by a certified check, cash or bid bond, or an acceptable form of Proposal Guaranty in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount of the Proposal, payable to the Order of the Glenbrook Sanitary District as a guaranty that if the Proposal is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract and file acceptable Performance Bond and Payment Bond after the award of the Contract. Contract Time: The project is to be substantially complete within 21 calendar days commencing from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Final completion is required within 28 calendar days, commencing from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Prevailing Wages: This project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130, et seq.) The successful bidder will be required to comply with all requirements of the Act.
