Bids must be submitted by the date and time designated in the Invitation to Bid. The Contract provides for the installation of pump and motor, all electrical equipment and connections, discharge piping and connections to existing raw water mains, all instrumentation and control in three water wells completed into the Lower Dawson aquifer (LDa-8 and LDa-14) and the Denver aquifer (De-14), all located within the Castle Pines Metropolitan District. Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from accessible at elactronically. Bidding documents will be available on March 29, 2022. Bids must be submitted electronically by the deadline of April 12, 2022 at 4:00 PM. All submitted bids will be opened on April 12, 2022. No public bid opening will be held. Bids shall be on the form provided with these documents and accompanied by all documentation requested in Section 2 - Instructions to Contractor. Bids shall be submitted as directed in Section 2 - Instructions to Contractor The pre-bid meeting is mandatory for all contractors who plan to submit bids on the Lower Dawson Aquifer Well LDa-8, Lower Dawson Aquifer Well LDa-14, and Denver Aquifer Well De-14 Pump and Motor Contract. Work at the site is expected to commence by the Date to be specified in the Notice to Proceed. Completion of the Work is required as specified in the Bid Form, and to be specified in the Agreement and the Notice to Proceed. Bid security in the amount of five (5) percent of the total bid Price must accompany the Bid in the form specified in the Instructions to Bidders. Said bid security shall be forfeited to the owner as liquidated damages should the successful bidder fail to enter into a contract with the owner in accordance with the bid proposed as described in the bidding documents. The Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a labor and materials payment bond. No bid may be withdrawn within a period of forty-five (45) days after the date fixed for Opening Bids. This Invitation to Bid is a solicitation and not an offer to contract. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed 45 days after the bid opening and to waive any informalities and irregularities in Bids, and to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the best interest of the owner.
