Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Westfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work consists of installing a new 8-inch water main, abandoning the existing water main, making drainage system improvements, and reconstructing roadways, sidewalks, and driveways on George Street, Frederick Street, and Parkside Avenue. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. All Bids for this project are subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended. A bid deposit shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. This Contract contains price adjustments for hot mix asphalt mixes, diesel fuel, gasoline, and Portland cement contained in concrete. See MassDOT Standard Specifications and the Special Provisions in the project manual for payment procedures and base prices for this Project. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the Contractor, before Bid opening, to request, if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed Work under this Contract. Federal Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the United States Department of Labor under the Davis-Bacon Act also apply to this project.
