Scope : rip rap stabilization of approximately 1,930 linear feet and 12 culvert ends and associated work in the Arboretum Golf Club in the Village of Buffalo Grove. PREVAILING WAGE ACT - The Village is an Illinois unit of local government, and the Work hereunder is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/0.01, et seq. QUESTIONS ON THE WORK All comments, concerns and questions regarding the Work and these documents shall be addressed to the Village of Buffalo Grove Purchasing Manager via email at BGfinance@vbg.org with the subject line "Arboretum Shoreline Stabilization 2022". All comments, concerns and questions regarding the Work must be received by the 9:00 AM local time on the Question Due Date Wednesday, March 30, 2022. Hard copy bids will not be accepted. All bids will be opened and read publicly via the Teams video conferencing platform. DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK The work services, equipment, labor and/or materials below shall be collectively referred to as the "Work": The project area consists of approximately 1,900 linear feet of shoreline stabilization and installation of culvert protection within the Village of Buffalo Grove's Arboretum Golf Club . SEQUENCE OF OPERATIONS The Contractor shall consult with the Director of Public Works or his authorized representative concerning the detail and scheduling of the Work contemplated herein and shall be governed by the decision of said Director of Public Works or his authorized representative. The Contractor shall coordinate its work in a manner that will cause as little inconvenience as possible to traffic, residents, the Arboretum Golf Club staff and patrons. The Contractor shall work closely with the Village Officials, Staff, and Arboretum staff with the least amount of interruption to normal traffic, parking facilities, and golf patrons.
