PROJECT(S) OVERVIEW The Village is interested in contracting for Engineering Services for Buffalo Grove related projects. General project descriptions are available under the Scope of Services starting on page 7. The project descriptions display the vast needs of engineering service project types the Village of Buffalo Grove needs to utilize in upcoming years. Under these project types the area and magnitude of responsibility in the process can vary widely, however, the description allows candidates to correlate their skills and expertise to each type. Considerations will be given to similar project scopes with complete past performance shown along with references on that project. REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS PURPOSE The Village will utilize the results of this request for qualifications to generate a pool of qualified consultants who can help aid the Village with various Engineering Services. The results of the RFQ process will not generate an overall or project specific ranking, only a qualified candidate pool for the Village to select from. As projects are approved by the Village Board, staff will pull from the qualified consultant pool the three most qualified candidates for that specific scope of work in a ranked order. The Village will then negotiate a proposal based on that scope with the most qualified candidate, if an agreement cannot be made the Village will work with the second most qualified candidate. If after all three candidates provide proposals on that specific project the Village will evaluate the project scope and RFQ results in alignment with the Quality Based Selection process. Consultants will be informed whether or not they have been added to the qualified consultant's pool after the Evaluation Committee makes its selections. All comments, concerns and questions regarding the RFQ must be received by 9:00 AM CST on the Question Due Date Tuesday, June 7, 2022. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
