Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Baltimore, Maryland. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The MDOT SHA hereby notifies all bidders that in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority/ disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this notice and will not be subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, sex, age, marital status, sexual orientation, sexual identity, genetic information or disability in consideration for an award. Minority/ Disadvantaged business enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. On Federally assisted projects, the bidder's attention is called to the Standard Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Construction Contract Specifications (Executive Order 11246) which is a part of the contract proposal. All of these activities shall be done in accordance with Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, as amended. Counties: Washington Classification: H ($15,000,001 to $30,000,000) Funding: Federal F.A.P. Number: AC-NHPP-G-70-1(282)E -Replacement of Bridge Nos. 2113503 and 2113504 on I-70 over Crystal Falls Drive. The existing three span cast-in-place concrete bridges have varying span lengths with an existing clear roadway of 50'-6 eastbound and 38'-6 westbound. The proposed single steel girder bridges have span lengths of 85'-0" eastbound and 90'-0" westbound, with a proposed clear roadway of 52'-0" eastbound and 40'-0" westbound. All new abutment construction will be supported on steel HP piling. -There is 0.85 miles of upgrading for the I-70 approach roadways, which includes resurfacing of I-70, placement of new traffic barriers, stormwater management facilities, signing, and permanent pavement striping. -Existing lanes of traffic in each direction on I-70 will be maintained at all times with staged construction utlizing temporary roadways and bridges constructed adjacent to the exisitng bridges in the median of I-70. There is also a temporary retaining wall required along the eastbound roadway for the maintenace of traffic during construction. Pre Bid Conference: A Pre-Bid Conference will not be held for this contract. Minimum wage rates for each Project, if applicable, have been pre-determined by law and are set forth in the Invitation for Bids (IFB). Bids must only be made upon the latest electronic proposal forms (and attachments) that are furnished by the Administration. In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00. The MDOT SHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids. DBE Participation (%) 18.0 MDOT - Call Order 202 Replacement and Maintenance of Structures *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
