Project Description: This project is to fabricate six (6) new draft tube bulkheads, including new rubber seals to replace the existing tailrace bulkheads at Gavins Point Dam in Crofton, NE. Prior to commencing the bulkhead fabrication, the awarded Contractor will field verify critical dimensions. Upon completion of work, Contractor will be required to perform a functionality test in the field to ensure bulkhead operations occur smoothly in the slot and to test water tightness of the new bulkhead, i.e. how well does the bulkhead seal. After government acceptance of the new bulkheads, existing bulkheads will be removed and disposed of by the awarded Contractor. The awarded Contractor shall also provide inspection reports and as-built drawings for the new bulkheads. The Contractor will be required to commence work upon receipt of contract award and complete the work 480 days after receipt of Notice to Proceed, this is subject to change after solicitation issuance.
