The awarded contractor agrees to provide the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and travel necessary to perform parking lot seal and stripe services at the West Covina DMV Field Office for the term of the Agreement. The anticipated term for this Agreement is thirty (30) calendar days within the term of June 1, 2022 or upon contract approval, whichever occurs later, through June 30, 2024. The bidder must possess a valid C-12 or C-32 contractor license issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Contractors State License Board (CSLB). Written questions are due 4/12/22 at 4:30 p.m. Answers will be posted 4/19/22 by 4:30 p.m. The estimated cost for this project is $70,000.00. Per Public Contract Code Section 7103, the awarded contractor shall provide a payment bond equal to one-hundred-percent (100%) of the total amount payable under the contract if the awarded contractor's total bid amount exceeds $25,000.00. The payment bond must be printed on Standard Form 807 (STD 807), and must include the contract number and the description of work to be performed under the contract. The payment bond must be executed by the Contractor and a corporate surety authorized to transact a general surety business in the State of California. The DMV shall be the sole judge whether or not an alternative manufacturer/brand is considered equal, and may reject any submittal it deems inappropriate. The DMV's decision shall be final.
