Bidders are encouraged to submit their written questions via e-mail to esmeralda.rojo@dot.ca.gov Bid Opening - Initial bid opening results will be posted online on the Division of Procurement and Contracts website at https://dot.ca.gov/programs/procurement-and-contracts/bid-results by 12:00 p.m. on the day following the bid opening. liquidated damages of $500.00 assessed for administrative costs for re-bidding the work or awarding the work to another Contractor. In addition, Contractor shall be liable to Caltrans for the difference between Contractor's bid price and the actual cost of performing the work by the second low bidder or by another Contractor. The successful bidder shall furnish a Payment Bond for not less than 100 percent (100%) of the total amount payable by the terms of this Agreement. This Agreement will commence on July 02, 2022 (estimate), or upon approval by Caltrans, whichever is later, and no work shall begin before that time. This Agreement is of no effect unless approved by Caltrans. Contractor shall not receive payment for work performed prior to approval of the Agreement and before receipt of notice to proceed by Caltrans Contract Manager.
