Notice Content Legal No 4013 NOTICE TO BIDDERS For LANDER COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS (OWNER): Sealed bids will be received by the LANDER COUNTY Clerk located at 50 State Route 305, Battle Mountain, Nevada 89820, for performing the work as set forth in the Specifications for the NORMAN, MILLARD FILMORE & SUNSET PAVING PROJECT. The bids will be received on or before 3:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at LANDER COUNTY Clerks Office located at 50 State Route 305, Battle Mountain, Nevada 89820. Bids will be opened and read at 3:05 p.m. local time on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at the office of Public Works. The Lander County Commissioners will consider awarding the contract at the next regularly scheduled Commissioner's Meeting. To assure consideration, all proposals shall be made on the blank form of the proposal attached to these Specifications. The completed forms shall be included in the bound proposal and shall be enclosed and sealed in an envelope which is addressed to LANDER COUNTY CLERK, 50 State Route 305, Battle Mountain, Nevada 89820, and marked "Norman, Millard Filmore & Sunset Paving Project." Faxed Proposals will not be accepted. The principal items of work for the Norman, Millard Filmore & Sunset Paving Project will consist of: MILLARD FILMORE ROAD: Grinding and regrading approximately 7,950 lineal feet of existing road surface; Installing approximately 7,950 lineal feet of 2-inch minus rock (6" depth) and Type 2 base (4" depth) subgrade material; Install approximately 207,000 sq. ft (26-foot wide, 3" depth) Type 2 new asphalt road surface; Re-establish 7,950 lineal feet of road shoulders (4' width) and roadside ditches and re-establish existing driveways; Install new stop/street sign at the end of the new road NORMAN LANE: Rough and finish grading and compacting 1,300 lineal feet of new road surface; Install approximately 1,300 lineal feet of 2-inch minus rock (6" depth) and Type 2 base (4- inch depth) subgrade material; Install 27,300 square feet (22-foot wide, 3" depth) Type 2 new asphalt road surface; Construct 1,300 lineal feet of new road shoulders (4' width) and new roadside ditches; Install new street/step sign at end of new road SUNSET DRIVE: Grinding and regrading approximately 200 lineal feet of existing driveway/road surface; Installing approximately 200 lineal feet of 2-inch minus rock (6" depth) and Type 2 base (4" depth) subgrade material; Install approximately 7,600 sq. ft (38-foot wide, 3" depth) Type 2 new asphalt driveway/road surface; Install 200 lineal feet of new 4' concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter and 50 lineal feet of new valley gutter; Plans, Specifications and Bid Documents may be examined at the following locations: LANDER COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS 50 State Route 305 Battle Mountain, Nevada 89820 Phone: (775) 635-2190 Fax: (775) 635-2801 DAY ENGINEERING 5 East Park Street Fallon, Nevada 89406 Phone: (775) 423-9090 Fax: (775) 423-9084 Plans and Specifications may also be examined at a drop box on the website. Bidders and other interested parties are encouraged to attend this conference, which will be conducted on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the office of Public Works on 50 State Route 305, Battle Mountain, Nevada. From there, the meeting will move to the construction sites. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive minor irregularities in any bid or in the bidding process. No bidder may withdraw their bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each proposal must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid.
