The City of San Leandro's Engineering & Transportation Department is seeking qualifications from experienced civil engineering and land surveying consulting firms to enter into an Agreement for Consulting Services. Services will include the following primary tasks: Act as "city surveyor" as defined in 66416.5 of the California Government Code which includes the review of subdivision maps and similar title documents submitted for City processing by property owners and land developers. Provide staff augmentation services for plan-checking related to civil engineering and land use aspects of private property development including public right-of-way improvements. Provide land surveying services consisting of field and office work related to the design and construction of public works projects. Provide on-call construction support consisting of inspection services during the construction of public infrastructure projects. Specific definition of each assignment will take place at the time the work is requested. The City is looking for civil engineering and land surveying consulting firms with extensive experience in providing aforementioned services for similar communities in northern California. The City will select the most qualified firms who will be called upon to provide relevant services on an as-needed, assignment-by-assignment basis. The selected firms will provide services for a three-year period. This solicitation is consistent with California Government Code Section 4525-4529.5. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
