The principal items of construction are the following: 300 L.F. 20" D.I.P. (Pressure Class 350) Water Main and Appurtenances 3,900 L.F. 16" D.I.P. (Pressure Class 350) Water Main and Appurtenances 2,720 L.F. 12" D.I.P. (Pressure Class 350) Water Main and Appurtenances The work described by these specifications is located in Paulding County, Georgia, along the alignment of SR 92, extending from Old Burnt Hickory Road northward to Pickett's Mill Place at the Cobb County Line, near Acworth, Georgia, plus outward along several side roads. While the State isin the process of road construction, the Paulding County Water System is working to relocate and upgrade water mains in conflict with the road construction. Only pre-qualified BIDDERS will be allowed to bid on this project. One contract will be awarded covering all of the work, and Bidder must agree to commence work on or before a date to be specified in a written "Notice to Proceed" of the Owner and to substantially complete the project within Two Hundred Ten (210) consecutive calendar days thereafter and to fully complete the project within One Thousand Two Hundred (1200) consecutive calendar days as directed in Section 00101 and Section 00400 of the contract documents. This final completion period is based on the time allotted for the GDOT road construction contract. Prospective BIDDERS will be notified of the pre-qualification determination within one (1) week of receipt of a complete application. Bids will be received from only those BIDDERS who have been notified by the Paulding County Water System as being included on the Paulding County Water System's pre-qualified bidders list. Bidders shall inform themselves concerning Georgia laws and comply with same. Bidders are required to have a State of Georgia Utility Contractor License to submit a bid in excess of $100,000.
