Question Acceptance Deadline 04/01/2022 02:00 PM EDT Questions are submitted online No Buyer's Requirements General Requirements - Insurance Required Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % Qualified General Contractors are invited to bid on a new 5,600 square-foot Rest Area Building, a new 614 SF Forest Service building, a new freshwater treatment system, a new viewing deck, and site reconstruction located at the top of Vail Pass at MP190 along Interstate-70. Along with three new parking lots, totaling 152 parking spaces. The Rest Area Building will be two-stories with an attached maintenance garage. The building is a concrete masonry unit (CMU) structure with a cross gabled style metal shingled roof with glue-laminated structural timbers. The 3,200 square-foot main level of the rest area building will have restrooms, janitorial and vending machine space, covered viewing decks, aluminum store fronts, and interpretive displays incorporated into many of the building's architectural elements. The 1,275 square-foot basement will have water treatment equipment, water storage, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and information technology equipment. The 1,340 square-foot maintenance garage will have an office, breakroom, maintenance storage space and stairs to the basement. The Rest Area building will tie into an onsite wastewater treatment plant that has recently been upgraded.
