Site work and paving for a road / highway in Williams, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

General Construction Items:Microsurfacing, Thermoplastic Traffic Striping & Markings Engineers Estimate: $ 350,000.00 LIQUIDATED DAMAGES. The Contractor acknowledges that the City will sustain actual damages for each and every day completion of the Project is delayed beyond the Contract Time. Because of the nature of the Project, it would be impracticable or extremely difficult to determine the City's actual damages. Accordingly, as provided in Government Code section 53069.85, it is agreed that the Contractor will pay the City the sum of $500 for each and every calendar day of delay in completing the Work beyond the Contract Time, as Liquidated Damages and not as a penalty or forfeiture. In the event the Liquidated Damages are not paid, the Contractor agrees the City may deduct that amount from any money due or that may become due the Contractor under the Contract. This Article does not affect the City's rights to other damages or remedies specified in the Contract Documents or allowed by law.
