Addition to a religious / funeral development in Burns Lake, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a 425-square-foot, one-story above grade religious / funeral development.
The project consists of a 425 sq. ft. addition with a basement and main floor. The existing basement access addition (CMU blocks, wood framing & tin sheeting) will be removed. The site access will be from a new parking lot (lot and retaining walls will be tendered separately in 2023). The site grading will be sloped to drain away from the building, and directed away with French drains. The existing basement will have a new concrete slab, foundation wall insulation & furring wall. The basement will be used for storage and accessed from a new stairwell. The general contractor will need to carefully dissect existing construction so the new addition construction will match the existing as close as possible, including window & doors, cladding & trim, and interior finishes. The new addition includes three washrooms, one which is accessible, and kitchen. The exterior cladding will have intumescent paint to provide fire resistance. The new shingle roofing is also fire resistant to reduce risk, with new copper flashings. Cancelled. No bids received.
