As of January 4, 2024, per owner, the project is on hold for right now. The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) document is to solicit statements of qualifications from architectural firms for services related the restoration of two entry canopies located at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts (NSCPA). The canopies are displaying age related wear and need renovating and an updated appearance. Village staff will review and evaluate responses based on the evaluation criteria contained herein. A select number of the highest rated firms may be asked to participate in an interview process to determine the best qualified firm for the subject project. The Village of Skokie owns the NSCPA and the building is managed on the Villages behalf by a professional facility management company. The contractual relationship for the subject project will be between the Village and the awarded architectu-al firm. Village staff and facility management staff will be the owner's representatives on the project. The professional firm, including principals, project managers and key personnel, shall have relevant experience with similar work and shall be competent to perform the services required under this RFQ. It is understood that the professional firm, acting as an individual, partnership, corporation or other legal entity, is of professional status, is licensed to perform in the State of Illinois, is licensed for all applicable professional discipline(s) requiring licensing, and shall be governed by the professional ethics of said professions in its relationship with the Village of Skokie. All reports, documents, drawings and data prepared or assembled by the awarded firm shall become the property of the Village of Skokie. The awarded finn shall be familiar with local, state and federal codes, legislation, procedures and regulations affecting work in their professional area.
