The City of Swift Current, Saskatchewan would appreciate receiving a proposal on the supply and Installation of play equipment in a new park. Installation of Playground equipment in compliance with ASTM F1292/CSA-Z614 standard. Installation on a date approved by the City of Swift Current, supervised install from supplier. Installed play equipment to meet or exceed fall safety requirements per ASTM F1292/CSA-Z614 Consideration will be weighted towards designs that include: - wide ramps/no-step structures, - swings that can be used by persons that utilize wheelchairs - a quiet/cozy area, - a feature implement with zero barriers, - multiple sensory implements, - multiple levels of challenge - encouragement of social play - Extra consideration will be placed on equipment designed for the ability of a person to stay in a wheelchair to use a play feature - wayfinding - ease of maneuverability that allows travel around and the play structure, - inclusion of Indigenous teachings and culture, - reach range for children, - lines of sight for caregivers - transition of play surface to parks paths. Surfacing will be a pour-in-place surfacing - a multitude of zones allowing children with diverse ability to play together - Ability to include Community Consultation once the supplier has been selected, Final Community Playground Consultation April 30, 2022 - Play structure must be installed by August 31, 2022 Appropriate for age range of 2 to 12.
