If the College is officially closed due to inclement weather, the bid opening will be postponed until the next business day at the originally scheduled time. The project is being bid as lump sum general contractor for renovation and addition scope of work for the building. All questions are to be submitted in writing to the attention of Debi Elezovic of Ramapo College of New Jersey at delezovi@ramapo.edu and Kostas Svarnas of Ramapo College of New Jersey at ksvarnas@ramapo.edu until 4:30 PM local time, April 15, 2022. Answers to these questions, and other revisions to the contract documents will be included in an addendum issued on April 22, 2022. Proposals must be made upon, and in accordance with, the bid forms supplied by the Ramapo College Purchasing Department. Bid proposals shall hold for sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening. Bidders are required to comply with requirements of New Jersey Public Law 1975 Chapter 127 (N.J.S.A. 10:5- 31 et seq.) and regulations set forth in (N.J.A.C. 17:27). All bidders, and their subcontractors, shall be registered with the Commissioner of Labor for Public Works in accordance with New Jersey Public Law 1999 Chapter 238 B, The Public Works Contractor Registration Act. All bidders shall comply with Executive Order 51 and Executive Order 151. Bidder is to hold applicable prequalification trade code provided by the New Jersey State Division of Property Management and Construction (NJDMPC) in accordance with New Jersey Statute N.J.S.A. 52:35.1 et seq. The bidder shall provide a Certificate of Surety from a company authorized to issue such coverage in the State of New Jersey. Begin Work: May 11, 2022 Substantial Completion: August 12, 2022 (New Generator fully functional and existing generator and associated components completely removed) The form of this guarantee shall be a maintenance bond in the amount of 100% of the final contract amount.
