The rehabilitation of 13 kilometers (9 miles) of single lane undivided Class III and IV rural roads at various locations within Strathcona County as identified and shown in the Gravel Map Program 2022 (Attachment 5). The rehabilitated roads will have a uniform 7.0 meters (m) paver laid dust-controlled surface with a 7.5 m wide cement stabilized base reclaimed from the existing surface. Ditches will be tied in and seeded to accommodate the new road widths if required and culverts will be removed and replaced as needed The anticipated Deliverables to be provided by the Supplier are subject to change, and include the following: Grade existing roadways with material to widen road to a final width of 7.5 (m); Pulverize, grade and compact cement stabilized subgrade to a depth of 200 millimeters (mm) complete with 15 kilograms (kg) at m2 cement compacted to be 100% Standard proctor density (S.P.D); Additional 5 kg at m2 cement and increase of stabilizing depth to 250 mm; Supply, place, and compact 50 mm depth 20 mm granular base course complete with MC250 oil - mixed off site and paver laid 7.0m width; Remove and replace existing culvert 600 mm; Topsoil stripping and placement, 3 m width each side, to be kept on site and replaced after roadwork is completed to tie-in to new road surface complete with harrowing; Seeding; Hot mis asphalt paving in or near intersection 50 mm depth; Restoration of disturbed areas; and Maintaining positive relationships with residents and County employees.
