Furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to repair the well casing and install a new water pump and supporting utilities in the Mill Creek Watershed within Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park, Del Norte County, California, complete and ready for use in accordance with the specifications therefore and such addenda thereto as may be issued prior to the bid opening. Licensed Required: Class A - General Engineering, C-57 - Well Drilling Contractor, C-10 Electrical Contractor Estimated cost of project: $50K The bidder agrees to complete all work within ninety (90) calendar days from the date of written notice to commence work. No bid will be considered unless it is made on a standard bid form furnished by the Department of Parks and Recreation, and is made in accordance with the "Instructions to Bidders. Bids exceeding $250,000 shall have enclosed cash, a cashier's check, certified check, or a bidder's bond, executed as surety by a corporation authorized to issue surety bonds in the State of California, made payable to "Director of Parks and Recreation," in an amount equal to at least 10 percent of amount of bid. No such bid shall be considered unless one of the forms of bidder's security is enclosed therewith. If bidder's security is a bidder's bond, it must be executed on a form approved by the state. Personal checks are not acceptable. The Department of Parks and Recreation reserves the right to waive any irregularity in a bid or to reject any or all bids. This project will remove sediment within the well casing down to an appropriate level to draft water. Repairs to the outside steel casing are required and new minimum 16-gauge steel panels will be welded to the casing frame. These panels will cover the casing whereas fish will not be able to enter the well casing. A 200 gallon per minute jet pump will be installed near the casing on the adjacent road bench. A draft hose with fish screen will be installed in the well casing to supply the water pump. A concrete slabwill be poured large enough to mount the water pump, electrical, and appropriate cover. A power drop, minimum 100 amp panel and appropriate breaker will be installed to support the operation of the water pump.
