The prevailing wage serial number for this project is 22-02437. All general construction activities, including receipt of the Certificate of Occupancy, the removal of all debris and final completion of the new work covered by these specifications, shall not begin before June 15th, 2022 and must be completed by August 5th, 2022. Failure to meet the contract deadline, as defined herein, will result in liquidated damages of $500/calendar day until final completion is achieved. The school district reserves the right to accept or reject, any or all bids submitted, to waive any irregularities or technicalities in any bid, and to make the award in the best interest of the school district to the lowest responsible bidder. No bid will be considered unless it is accompanied by a bid bond or certified check. The bid bond or certified check will be an amount equal to at least ten (10%) percent of the total bid. The bid bond or certified check shall be made payable to the State College Area School District. The successful bidder agrees that this represents the measure of liquidated damages that the owner will sustain by the bidder's failure to execute the proper contract and bond. If a bidder defaults within fifteen (15) days following awarding of the contract, The successful bidder shall guarantee all material and work performed under the provisions of this proposal against defective workmanship. The contractor shall provide a performance bond and a labor and material payment bond, each for 100% of the contract price.
