Renovation of a stadium in Albany, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 45,000-square-foot stadium.

Addendum #1-#3 have been issued as of 4-25-2022. The University is completing an interior renovation of the approximately 45,000sf competition space within SEFCU arena. The renovation includes: Removal of the existing bleacher system Reorientation of the competition court New permanent seating New retractable bleachers system Improved amenities New men's and women's basketball locker rooms Bidding Documents may be viewed and bid packages may be purchased/downloaded from the designated website by prospective bidders. Prospective Bidders must purchase sets from the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Architect will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. All work shall be in accordance with construction drawings and specifications. Contractor must be able to secure a performance bond for the full amount of their bid and should be prepared to anticipate a value more than $ 11,000,000 for this project. Please note that this project is exempt from the Wicks Law. Contacts made to other staff regarding this procurement may disqualify the firm and affect future procurements with government entities in the State of New York. Please refer to the OGS website It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. The existing telescopic bleacher seating system in the arena will be replaced as it is original to the facility and beyond its useful life. Replacement of the system will allow for better operations and comfort of the fans. To enhance the overall look and feel of the space, the seating bowl will be rotated 90 degrees and configured to have an arena bowl shape with some permanent seating. The concourse level will be expanded to the new telescopic seating creating new opportunities for amenity spaces such as clubs and loges. Chair seating will be provided throughout with exception to the west telescopic seats which will be bleacher seating. Improvements to the court level include removal of the existing 4 lane track, creation of a lower level concourse with storage, and refinishing of the maple flooring at the main court and practice courts. The two existing south stairs and vertical ductwork will be demolished with new ones added to the south corners of the arena. Other improvements include new court video infrastructure, relocation of camera platforms, expansion of the existing fire protection system, additional lighting, modifications to the sound system / loudspeaker, and an amenity space called the "Courtside Corner". Two locker rooms will be added under the north seating area for the Men's and Women's Basketball teams.
