Remove and replace approximately 211,000 square feet of concrete sidewalk at the College of Staten Island Civil work includes, but is not limited to: Removal of existing walkways throughout campus Install new walkways throughout campus Install new steel faced concrete curbs Remove and reset existing concrete pavers Inlet protection and sediment control per NYSDEC SPDES General Permit Topsoil and seeding Electrical work includes, but is not limited to: Remove and replace (1) walkway light Work will be phased to minimize disruption to campus. The estimated construction cost is between $4,250,000 and $4,350,000. The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York ("DASNY") has determined that its interest in obtaining the best work at the lowest possible price, preventing favoritism, fraud and corruption, and other considerations such as the impact of delay, the possibility of cost savings advantages and any local history of labor unrest are best met by use of a Project Labor Agreement ("PLA") on this Project. The successful low bidder, as a condition of being awarded this Contract, will be required to execute the PLA described in the Information for Bidders and included in the Contract Documents. See Section 18.0 of the Information for Bidders of the Contract Documents for additional information. All subcontractors of every tier will be required to agree to be bound by the PLA. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
