As of May 5, 2022, project was awarded to Pima Paving Inc, awarded amount is $273,947.07. The project generally consists of supplying all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to construct new concrete sidewalks along the eastbound side of Silverbell Road from Carefree Way to Cortaro Road; the removal and replacement of existing concrete curb, curb and gutter, and access ramps at the Silverbell/Carefree, Silverbell/Quail Park-Wildomar, and Silverbell/Cortaro intersections; the modification of median refuges at the Silverbell/Cortaro intersection; the fabrication and installation of barricade railing; and the placement of rip-rap and decomposed granite ground cover. The scope of work also includes demolition, clearing and grubbing, excavation, grading, concrete headers, asphalt paving, signage removal and replacement, traffic control, and other miscellaneous work. The Bidder shall include a Statutory Bid Bond with the Proposal in accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes. The Bid Bond shall be in cash, certified check or secured bond, for not less than 10% of the total amount of the Bid Price proposed to perform all Work associated with the Project and required by the Contract Documents. The amount of the Bid Bond will be forfeited to the Town if the successful Bidder, selected and awarded a Contract, defaults in fully executing the required Contract Documents, or fails to submit the required Performance Bond, Payment Bond, Insurance Certificate(s), Authorized Signature Page, or executed Construction Contract Documents to the Town within ten calendar days after the date of the Award of the Contract. The Bid Documents include by reference any and all Pima Association of Governments (PAG) Standard Specifications and Standard Details, or other Town of Marana, State of Arizona or departments of the United States Government adopted codes, specifications, details, manuals or standards, except where amended or included to clarify the bid/construction process. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any irregularity, informality or technicality in any Bid to the extent permitted by law.
