Site work for a water / sewer project in Urbana, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work generally consists of the following work: * Installation of approximately 4035 LF of 12 inch PVC water main and 630 LF of 8 inch PVC water main and isolation valves and Fire Hydrants; * 3 connections of installed water main to existing water mains; * Reconnection of approximately 2 service connections with new corporation stops; * Installation of 2 "Inserta-valves". Bidders shall accompany their BIDS with a Bid Guaranty in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the maximum amount bid or a Certified Check or Cashier's Check for 10% of the bid for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the bid date and in accordance with ORC 153.54. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio Products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Champaign County, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations The City of Urbana reserves the right to reject any and all bids, delete any portion or portions thereof or to waive any irregularities in the bidding.
