Renovation of a detention facility in Fort Rice, North Dakota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
The North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is soliciting sealed bids from contractors interested in the removal and installation of 7 fire alarm systems located in various buildings at the North Dakota Youth Correctional Center (NDYCC)/Heart River Correctional Center (HRCC) in Mandan, North Dakota. The nature of work will include the complete removal of existing fire alarm panels, wiring, detector heads, and audio/visual devices as specified in the engineering plans, drawings, and specifications. Installation of new fire alarm panels, wiring, detector heads, audio/visual devices, and all other required equipment to be installed as specified in the engineering documents. Each proposal must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing the contractor's license and full bid security. The bid security must be in a sum equal to five percent of the full amount of the bid and must be in the form of a bidder's bond. Contractor personnel who will be performing work on site are required to complete a background check approval process in accordance with the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) of 2003 and the FBI's CJIS Security Policy. They also must comply with all applicable DOCR policies, procedures, and practices, including COVID-19 testing and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
