This project involves building a new two story Fire Department Headquarters, apparatus bay, lower level parking garage, and associated site work. The project will be located in the vacant lot on 10th Ave E, south of the West Fargo High School. The West Fargo Fire Department, West Fargo, ND, is presently soliciting competitive Prime Contract Masonry Bids for the new West Fargo Fire Department Headquarters building. The complete bid form shall be without alterations, additions, or erasures. All bids shall be on a lump sum basis. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after bid receipt without consent of the Owner. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a separate envelope containing a Bidder's Bond in a sum equal to five percent (5%) of the full amount of the Bid, executed by the Bidder as principal and by a surety company authorized to do business in this state, conditioned that if the principal's Bid is accepted and the contract awarded to the principal, the principal, within ten (10) days after Notice of Award, shall execute and effect a contract in accordance with the terms of his Bid and a Contractor's Bond as required by law and the regulations and determinations of the governing body. The Bid Bond of the three lowest Bidders will be retained until the contract has been awarded and executed, but not longer than sixty (60) days. The Bid security is a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into contract for the work described in the Proposal. The bidder may submit a Bid Bond payable to the City of West Fargo, North Dakota. All Bidders shall have a valid North Dakota Contractor's license of the appropriate Class for the work, as required by NDCC. Bidders shall enclose a copy of the license or Certificate of Renewal in the same envelope as the Bidder's Bond, as required by NDCC. Failure to do so will render the Bid invalid. No Bid will be read or considered unless it fully complies with the Bond and license requirements. Any deficient Bid will be resealed and returned to the Bidder immediately. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish both a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the full amount of the Contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bids.
