This work consists of coordinating the construction schedule with third party utility companies owning facilities within the project limits, verifying the location of those facilities during construction, and resolving issues with those utilities. The requirements in this Special Provision replace the requirements of Section 105.03, "Cooperation With Utility Owners". Grading, Base, Surfacing, Structure Replacement, & Incidentals on Cass Hwy 17 from 1,576' South and 4,856' North of 64th Ave South and 64th Ave South from 383' West and 610' East of Cass County 17 in Cass County, North Dakota. Major Items of Work Include: RAP-SPave FAA43 12,144 TON Crushed Conc. 10,379 TON Common Ex 18,646 CY 8IN Non-Reinf Conc. 5,264 SY Curb & Gutter 3,486 LF 14X17 RCB Install. 396 LF North Dakota contractor's license number must be supplied in the electronic bid. A bidders bond in the amount of 5% of the amount bid, made payable to Cass County shall accompany each bid. Paper bid bonds must be submitted by 1 pm to the Cass County Highway Department office the day of the bid letting. Certified or Cashier's checks will not be accepted. No bid will be read or considered which does not comply with the bond requirements. Contractors may be required to submit information detailing their ability to perform the work specific to this project. Cass County may determine the prequalification status of each contractor requesting a proposal, and reserves the right to deny bid documents to any contractor based on the County's responsibility determination. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities. All bidders must be qualified to bid under the laws of North Dakota.
