A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Modifications to existing Telecommunications Rooms, electrical power for telecommunications Scope of work will include, but not be limited to; modifications to existing Telecommunications Rooms, electrical power for telecommunications, grounding for the telecommunication systems, floor and wall mounted communications racks and cabinets, communications cable tray, communications horizontal station cabling using new and existing pathway, installation of University furnished wireless access points at interior and exterior locations, demolition of existing communications riser and horizontal station cabling, and demolition of existing broadband video system. Hazardous materials abatement (ref. Div. 2) will be required to carry out the above referenced scope of work. Work of Additive Alternate 1 includes electrical and communications infrastructure improvements to 7105 - Cook House as indicated on the plans, including outside plant cabling and interior structured cabling. As further indicated on the plans, under Additive Alternate 1, 7043 - Kiosk for East Entrance will be horizontally cabled to 7105 using outside plant rated Cat 6 cabling. As a consequence, under Additive Alternate 1, provision of the R40 outdoor cabinet, outside plant copper and fiber cabling and underground trenching in the vicinity of 7043 called for as work of the Base Bid will be eliminated.
