Please Take Notice That the Union City Board of Education (the "Board) Is Soliciting Bids for a Contract for Elevator Maintenance and Repair Services in the Union City School District. All Responses Must Be on the Proposal Forms Obtained From the Board. All Responses Must Be Enclosed in a Sealed Envelope Bearing the Name and Address of the Bidder and the Words "Sealed Bid -- Elevator Maintenance and Repair Services." the Envelope Must Be Addressed to Anthony N. Dragona, Purchasing Agent, Union City Board of Education, 3912 Bergen Turnpike, Union City, New Jersey 07087. The Envelope Containing the Bid Must Be Received by the Board by the Date and Time Set Forth Above. Sealed Proposals May Be Dropped Off in Person at the Board of Education Offices Provided Someone Is in the Office to Accept Proposals. To Ensure the Safety of Our Employees and the General Public, It Is Requested That if Dropping Off a Sealed Proposal at the Board Offices, You Utilize a Face Mask. If Proposals Are Sent via U.s. Mail or Courier (Ups, Fedex, Dhl, Etc.), the Submitter Must Ensure Proposals Are Actually Accepted by Board Office Personnel. The Board of Education Bears No Responsibility if Successful Deliveries Cannot Be Made. Proposals Must Not Be Left Unattended Outside by Anyone. The Board of Education Bears No Responsibility for Proposals That Are Left Unattended and Not Marked as Received by the Board. Person(S) Responding to This Bid Notice Are Encouraged to Submit an Original and One Copy of Materials as Soon as Possible in Order to Avoid Logistical Delivery Issues That May Arise. No Late Bids Will Be Accepted. Bid Documents May Be Accessed Online. On the Home Page, Select Departments in the Blue Header; Then Select Business Department; Once in the Business Department, Select Purchasing/equipment Management; When Selected, Current Bids, Rfqs, Rfps and Addenda Are Listed. Each Bid Must Be Accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond From a Surety Company Licensed to Do Business in New Jersey, in the Amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the Total Cost in the Bid Submitted, Exclusive of Alternates, but Not in Excess of $20,000.00, Made Payable to the Union City Board of Education. All Bidders Are Required to Comply With the Requirements of N.j.s.a. 10:5-31 Et Seq. (P.l. 1975, C. 127 as Amended) and N.j.a.c. 17:27-1.1 Et Seq. The Contract Will Be Awarded to the Bidder Whose Bid Is the Most Advantageous, Price and Other Factors Considered. The Board Reserves the Right to Waive Any Minor Irregularities in or to Reject Any or All Bids.
