As of June 15, 2022, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. The project includes but is not limited to approximately 700 feet of 8-inch gravity sewer relocation and replacement, 5 manholes, sewer lateral reconnection or installation, related bypass pumping, and site restoration. A certified check or bid bond for the amount of 10% of the total bid shall be required. Bonds are to be issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Questions received after 5:00 PM, Monday, May 2, 2022, regarding the project will not be acknowledged. Bids shall remain open for a period of 60 days from the date of Bid opening unless award is delayed by a required approval from a governmental agency, the sale of bonds, acquisition of easements, or the award of a grant or grants, in which event the Bids shall remain open for a period of 120 days from the date of Bid opening. Bids may not be withdrawn during this period. This contract is subject to the following: the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act conditions; the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (OSHA) conditions; the Pennsylvania Act 229 of 2002; the Pennsylvania One Call Act, also known as the Underground Utility Line Protection Law, Act 287 of 1974, as amended; the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act 222 Conditions; the non-discrimination in Employment/Contract Compliance Regulations Conditions; requirement of a non-collusion affidavit; and the Public Works Employment Verification Act. South Londonderry Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids and award in the best interest of the Township.
