Ceiling Tile and Lighting Installation Blount County, TN on behalf of the Blount County Board of Education is accepting sealed bids for the removal, purchase and installation of ceiling tiles and lighting required in the Board's schools. Question Cutoff Date: 4/5/2022 12:25 PM (ET) Blount County Government on behalf of the Blount County Board of Education (herein collectively referenced as the "County") is issuing this bid (ITB No. 2021-0128) seeking to engage with qualified persons and/or companies to provide removal and replacement of ceiling tiles and lights with new ceiling tiles and 3500K LED light fixtures in designated areas of Blount County, TN's Schools on an "as needed" basis. The awarded contractor(s) shall be referenced herein as "Contractor" and each service requested may result in multiple Contractor(s) being awarded. This project will begin in the Blount County, TN high schools listed below: Eagleton College and Career Academy located at 2610 Cinema Drive, Maryville, TN 37804 Heritage High School located at 3741 E. Lamar Alexander Pkwy, Maryville, TN 37803 William Blount High School located at 219 County Farm Road, Maryville, TN 37801 This solicitation requires the removal and replacement of Ceiling Tiles and lights with new tiles and 3500K LED light fixtures in designated areas of Blount County, TN's Schools on an "as needed" basis. See Exhibit "A" for each school's specifications. Building areas to be serviced, square footages and a document containing flooring diagrams of each school are included in the exhibit. The diagrams are color coded to indicate the rooms to have ceiling tiles and lighting replacements (the yellow spaces in Exhibit A will receive the new product). All existing ceiling tiles and lights are to be removed from the ceiling grid and disposed of by the awardee of this bid. Specifications for the selected tile to be used appear in Exhibit "A". The awarded Contractor will be responsible for all labor, tools, equipment, materials, supplies and proper disposal of all trash associated with the completion of this job. The awarded Contractor is also responsible for ensuring a clear, clean safe work area both while working and after leaving for the day. The only grid replacement for this project will at the William Blount High School in the areas where the tiles or lighting are changing from a 4 x 4 trapezoid area to a flat surface comprised of one 2x4 ceiling tile and one 2 x 4 light fixture with an addition of a cross brace to realign the grid and complete the modification.
