DESCRIPTION OF WORK The proposed improvement is officially known as "2022 Crack Sealing Bituminous Pavement Project" which consists of routing, cleaning and sealing transverse and longitudinal reflected cracks in the pavement, with asphalt cement with short cut polypropylene fibers to approximately 120,000 linear feet of cracks in asphalt pavement. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO BIDDERS REGARDING MATERIAL Village of Bloomingdale Resolution No. 2012-R-37 - Exclude the purchase and use of coal tar based sealants. All crackfill material must not include the following RCT sealants: Coal-Tar Base, Chemical Abstracts Services (CAS) Number 65996-93-2. Products that contain the words "coal tar," "refined coal tar," "high temperature coal tar," "refined tar," "refined coal-tar pitch," "RT-12," CAS Number 65996-93-2 or similar terms on the Material Safety Data Sheet will be rejected for purchase and/or use in executing this Contract. Bidders must include Material Safety Data Sheet with bid proposal. INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS Proposal forms may be obtained from the Village Clerk at 201 South Bloomingdale Road, Bloomingdale, Illinois, 60108. The Village of Bloomingdale is exempt from the Illinois State Municipal or County Retailers Occupation Tax, Service Occupation Tax, Use Tax, and Service Use Tax as described in Illinois Revised Statute Chapter 120. Bid prices shall not include the cost of such taxes.
