Renovation of an educational facility in Chicago, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Questions Due Date: Mar 24th 2022, 10:30 AM CDT TYPE OF WORK: Installing Split System Cooling School will receive a supplementary cooling system to serve their Gym/Auditorium located on the top floor of the original building. Each system shall consist of a number of 2-ton capacity split system fan coil units (FC) located high on the wall within cage enclosures for safety. The associated Condensing Units (CU) will be located on the roof and shall be either 1-to-1 or combined into no more than 3 FC to 1 CU arrangement. The units will be controlled by either 1 or 2 remote mounted thermostats within locked safety enclosures. Refrigerant piping will be run within the attic space and include all required valving, insulation, supports and wall penetrations from the attic thru the change in roof height to the exterior CU locations on the lower roof. A new local power panel will be added for connection of all of the supplementary cooling equipment required. This location will be determined in the field. A new breaker will be provided within the switchgear located in the Basement and run up to the new panel location.
