Renovation of a mixed-use development in Newton, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Replacement of approximately 103 windows at the Newton Correction Release Center in Newton Iowa. Please find bid packages in the specifications. Bids to be sent directly to the Iowa IMPACTS system as stated in the Specifications. Selected bidder will be contracted directly with the Iowa DAS. The owner will perform the folllowing: -removal and reinstallation of the security barriers. -any and all drywall & paint repairs needed after the installation of the new windows. -temporary enclosure needed for windows -asbestos in the sealants will be abated by the owner under a separate contract. Please direct all inquiries to the construction manager. Addendum #1-#2 have been issued as of 8-9-2022. Addendum #1 was just a compilation of files that have already been sent out and did not include any changes. Addendum #3 has been issued 8-17-2022. To All Bidders: Please make the following corrections or changes to the bidding documents. These items shall supersede, modify and/or change all statements or drawings to the contrary in the plans and specifications and shall take precedence over these documents. Bidders shall base their bid on the plans and specifications as modified by the changes herein specified. REFER TO THE SPECIFICATIONS: ITEM 1. 08 5113 Aluminum Windows, Paragraph 2.6.A.1. Color: CHANGE to read, “Medium Bronze or Dark Bronze.” Dark Bronze anodized aluminum is also approved. Provide all windows, accessories, and any break metal trim of the same color. REFER TO THE DRAWINGS: No Items.
