It is intended that each bidder shall be prepared to enter promptly into a contract and begin work without delay following a Notice to Proceed in the event the award is made to him. It is anticipated that Notice of Award will be given on May 9, 2022. It is anticipated that Notice to Proceed and a Pre-Con meeting will take place on May 10, 2022. A pre-bid meeting and site visit will be scheduled on the week of April 11- 15, 2022 for this project prior to bid opening. The Project consists of, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: Reconstruction of Main Street beginning approximately 315 feet south of S. Sievers Road and ending approximately 425 feet South of Bauer Drive. The project also includes the construction of storm sewer, sidewalks, and lighting. Additionally, all existing clay sanitary sewer laterals will be replaced with PVC pipe from the sanitary main to the back of walk or R/W line, whichever is further. This Project will be funded by the City of Vincennes. No bidder may withdraw any bid or proposal within a period of sixty (60) days following the date set for receiving bids or proposals. The Vincennes Board of Works reserves the right to hold any or all bids or proposals for a period of not more than sixty (60) days and said bids or proposal shall remain in full force and effect during said period. The City of Vincennes reserves the right to reject and/or cancel any and all bids, solicitations and/or offers in whole or in part as specified in the solicitations when it is not in the best interests of the governmental body as determined by the purchasing agency in accordance with IC 5- 22-18-2
