Site work for a mixed-use development in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and transportation facility.

The work of this project includes The project includes installing fully functional heat trace into an existing system in the Light Rail Transit (LRT) guideway Interchange bridge on the METRO Blue Line and Green Line LRT systems. The Work for this Project includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Interchange Bridge a. The CONTRACTOR will remove and replace the existing heat trace in the eight shelter drains and add heat trace to the two new drains next to the pedestrian crossing on the southwest side of Target Field Platform. b. The CONTRACTOR will use the existing heat trace electrical panel, relay module and breaker in pictures 1 to 3. c. The CONTRACTOR will perform the work above deck during a shutdown weekend starting Friday, June 3rd to Monday at 3 AM June 6th, 2022. The backup weekend will be Friday, June 17th to Monday at 3 AM June 20th, 2022. d. The CONTRACTOR will install heat trace in the two track drains to the sanitary manhole. Pictures of the drains under the deck are shown in Picture 4. e. The CONTRACTOR will penetrate the deck through the handhole next to the electrical panel. Picture 5. The 2nd penetration will be through the vault, fastened along the concrete along both tracks and into the two existing drains in Picture 5. f. All exposed electrical wires will be enclosed in rigid conduit. g. The shelter drains on the platform will have heat trace to the vertical drain on pier 4. The two track drains will have heat trace to the storm drain manhole. h. The CONTRACTOR will provide a fully functional heat trace system. i. The CONTRACTOR will supply Metro Transits rail insurance. j. All CONTRACTOR employees working on this project will take the Metro Transit Rail Safety On-Line Course and have the certificate at the job site. k. The CONTRACTOR will coordinate with the CAR and Target Field for access below the bridge deck. Target Field will grant access through the North Gate with authorization.
