Lewis & Clark Regional Water System of Tea, SD will receive bids for construction for the Madison Service Line Segment 2/3A Project. The Project is located between Crooks and Colton, in Minnehaha County, South Dakota. Construction will be on easements on privately owned lands and public rights-of-way.The Project includes the following Work: Approximately 81,300 linear feet of 16-inch diameter buried PVC or ductile iron pipe. Additionally, approximately 3,450 linear feet of pipe will be installed using horizontal directional drilling techniques. Approximately 830 linear feet of jacked or bored highway and railroad crossing casing pipe (24" diameter). Relocation and replacement of existing small diameter rural water lines and drain tile. Miscellaneous appurtenances including direct bury gate valves, manual air release valves, and blow-off assemblies. Temporary and permanent erosion control, fencing, reclamation and seeding. Corrosion protection system components including ground beds, rectifiers, galvanic anodes, and test stations. Components depend on type of pipe. Traffic control during construction. Pipeline pigging, flushing, hydrostatic pressure testing, and disinfection. And, Clean up and all other miscellaneous work required, not herein mentioned, but inferred from the construction contract documents The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. Funding for this project comes from a variety of sources, including grants from the Federal Government; grants from the States of South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota; and funds from member systems.
