The Board of Commissioners of Glynn County, Georgia ("the Owner") seeks proposals from interested qualified Engineering firms to provide engineering services for the design, permitting, and cost estimating of a drainage system to 1. connect the Glynn County drainage system in Chapel Crossing Road with the drainage system internal to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), 2. Improve the FLETC system to accommodate the additional flows, 3. Improve the outfall from the FLETC to the HWY-17 right-of-way, and 4. Design a sidewalk connection from the existing sidewalk ending at Fairway Oaks Drive to the main entrance of FLETC and the pedestrian crossing at Hwy 17.This project is intended to provide an overflow path for either system in situations where either of the systems are overwhelmed. The firm is to provide any/all environmental delineations as may be required including any/all permit acquisitions, preliminary construction plans, refined cost estimates, generating plats for right-of-way acquisitions as may be required, and provide a "turnkey" construction bid package including plans, specifications, all applicable permitting, and a final engineer's estimate. The specific services requested are outlined in detail in the scope of services within this request for proposal. It is worthy of mention that the project will require access to the FLETC property to perform part of the work. Any personnel or equipment needed to perform the work will have to be cleared through FLETC Security. There will not be a Pre-proposal Conference. Any questions and /or misunderstandings that may arise from this invitation shall be submitted, in writing and forwarded, to the Procurement Officer, Jason Hagen, at jhagen@glynncounty-ga.gov no later than April 14, 2022. Performance and payment bonds none required. Intended Date for Contract Award June 2, 2022 Glynn County Board of Commissioners anticipates making a single contract award; however, it reserves the right to make multiple awards should it deem in the best interest of the County. Such an award, if any, is projected to be accomplished within sixty (60) days from the proposal opening. The Board of Commissioners, Glynn County, Brunswick Georgia reserves the right to reject any or all proposal, waive technicalities and make the award in the best interest of the County. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
