Renovation of an educational facility in Long Beach, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
At the time bids are submitted, each Bidder shall possess a valid Class B contractor's license and must maintain the license(s) throughout the duration of the project. All designated subcontractors will also be required to have current and active CSLB licenses at the time of submission of the bid and throughout the duration of the project. Pursuant to Labor Code 1725.5. each Contractor and all subcontractors identified in a Contractor's subcontractors' list, submitting a proposal to complete the work, labor, materials and/or services must be a Department of Industrial Relations Registered Contractor. A bidder who is not a DIR Registered Contractor when submitting a proposal for the work is deemed "not qualified" and the proposal of such a bidder will be rejected for non-responsiveness. Information regarding the DIR can be found Electronically. A bid bond in an amount not less than 10% of your bid amount must be submitted along with your bid submission. Electronic submission is acceptable. Pursuant to California Labor Code 1771.4(a)(4) the work is subject to payment of Prevailing Wage Rates. Every Contractor and all Subcontractors of every tier, performing any portion of the work, shall pay laborers not less than the Prevailing Wage Rate established for the labor provided. Prevailing Wage monitoring and enforcement shall be by the Department of Industrial Relations. Prevailing Wage determination can be found Electronically.
