Bidders must be pre-qualified by Illinois Department of Transportation and present IDOT issued "Certificate of Eligibility" with proposal. The above item shall conform to the Invitation for Bids on file in the Purchasing Office. The City of Evanston (the City) in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that the contract(s) entered into pursuant to this Notice will be awarded to the successful Bidders without discrimination on the ground of race, color, religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, familial status or national origin. The State of Illinois requires under Public Works contracts that the general prevailing rate of wages in this locality be paid for each craft or type of worker hereunder. The Evanston City Council also reserves the right to award the contract to an Evanston firm if that firm's bid is within 5% of the low bid.
