The Olivenhain Municipal Water District (OMWD) is seeking proposals from qualified firms that are interested in providing as-needed environmental support services from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2024 for a total not to exceed $100,000. It is important to OMWD that firms have an established local office. OMWD is a municipal water district organized and operating pursuant to Water Code Section 71000 et seq., and was incorporated in 1959. At over 48 square miles, OMWD serves approximately 86,000 customers in Encinitas, Carlsbad, San Diego, San Marcos, Solana Beach, and neighboring communities. OMWD owns and operates over 400 miles of potable water pipelines, 50 miles of recycled water pipelines, 65 miles of sewer pipelines and related appurtenances and facilities. While many of these facilities are in the road right-of-ways, others are in cross-country easements or are being constructed in environmentally sensitive areas. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
