Work to be completed in 45 consecutive calendar days. All requests for alternate materials and/or methods must be submitted to RHA for approval no later than twelve (12) business days prior to bid opening directly to developmentdpt@renoha.org. Requests will not be reviewed or approved unless sent to the above email. Proposals for CF projects that exceed $25,000 will not be considered unless accompanied by cashiers/certified check or bid bond in the amount equal to 5% of the bid, made payable to the Housing Authority of the City of Reno. Payment and Performance bonds are required for all HUD projects that exceed $25,000. RHA reserves the rights to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bidding, and to determine the low bidder. RHA, however, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in RHA's interest RHA reserves the right to reject the bid of any bidder who has previously failed to perform properly, or to complete on time, contracts of a similar nature; who is not in a position to perform the contract; or who has habitually and without just cause neglected the payment of bills or otherwise disregarded his/her obligations to subcontractors, materialmen, or employees. 1. All work shall be completed following the plans, drawings, and technical specifications unless otherwise specified.
2. Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, tools, materials, supplies, and equipment needed to complete all work shown in the plans.
3. Remove existing playground bark mulch and outdoor furniture including concrete footings.
4. Supply and install a 20' X 40' concrete slab for a new basketball court.
5. Supply and install a new in-ground Goalsetter Contender Basketball Hoop model #SS44554 or RHA approved equal.
6. Paint 2" wide court markings with water-based acrylic coating professional traffic paint.
7. Paint a traditional Hopscotch court with 2" wide lines on concrete slab with water-based acrylic coating professional traffic paint - colors to be determined prior to construction.
8. Supply and install 15' X 30' SGW "Tacoma" Everlast Artificial Grass synthetic turf or RHA approved equal.
9. Supply and install approximately 90 lineal feet of 4" X 6" concrete extruded landscape curb around all turf areas.
10. Supply and install two (2) in-ground 6' Diamond Blue Commercial Park Benches with back surface mount model #940S-V6 or RHA approved equal.
11. Supply and install one (1) in-ground 55-gallon black metal trash receptacle model #398-1010. Supply flat top lid with 8" opening diameter and plastic liner for 398 Series receptacle or RHA approved equal.
12. Supply and install a 12" X 12" NDS 1200NGB basin with catch basin riser and a 12" X 12" square grate or RHA approved equal.
13. Supply and install approximately 110' of 4" Advanced Drainage Systems corrugated pipe for a French drain.
14. Supply and install approximately 184 linear feet of 12" Action Play Systems Playground Border with Spike or RHA approved equal.
15. Supply and install one (1) Action Play Systems ADA half ramp or RHA approved equal. Location to be determined prior to construction.
16. Supply and install approximately 2,310 square feet of SpectraTurf Rubber Mulch to a depth of 9 inches. Color to be determined prior construction.
17. Supply and install approximately 3,440 square feet of 5/16" Decomposed Granite to a compacted depth of 3 inches.
18. Contractor will restore existing landscape to original conditions after construction.
19. Contractor shall provide all operating maintenance manuals and parts instructions. Manuals must include parts listings of equipment and other materials installed.
20. Contractor will provide manufacturer's warranty on all equipment installed, including extended warranty items.
21. All work shall be completed following the manufacturer's recommended installation requirements unless otherwise specified.
22. Completed work will be inspected and accepted by the RHA upon completion. Work not completed to the satisfaction of the RHA will be corrected within three (3) workdays.
