Demolish, Install, Startup, Test, Headworks mechanical equipment furnished by Owner Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Project Number-2022-1000-1 Mechanical Work including but not necessarily limited to: 1. Demolish Existing Mechanical Bar Screen including ancillaries; dispose offsite. 2. Demolish Existing Grit Tank Blower including ancillaries; existing blower & ancillaries once removed to be the property of the Owner. 3. Demolish Existing Comminutor including ancillaries; dispose offsite. 4. Demolish Existing Exhaust Fan inlet duct work including fasteners; dispose offsite. 5. Dewater Channels and Tanks as necessary to perform installation work. Wastewater from dewatering process to be routed to wastewater treatment plant for disposal. Solids from tank dewatering process to be removed and disposed by the Owner. 6. Install, start up & test one (1) Mechanical Bar Screen with 1/4" openings as shown on the contract drawings. Mechanical Bar Screen furnished by Owner. Electrical work by Electrical Subcontractor provided by the Owner. 316 Stainless Steel fasteners to be furnished and installed as part of Mechanical Work. Connection between bar screen and wash press part of Mechanical Work. 7. Install, start up & test one (1) Screenings Wash Press with discharge piping as shown on the contract drawings; Screenings Washer with discharge piping provided by Owner. Electrical work by Electrical Subcontractor provided by the Owner. Mechanical Work to include mating bar screen discharge chute to inlet of Wash Press, installing wash press solenoid valves and piping existing process water to two (2) connections on wash press; routing wash press drain to suitable location; assembling and mounting wash press discharge piping; any miscellaneous alignment work. 316 Stainless Steel fasteners furnished and installed as part of Mechanical Work. Unit leveling and alignment part of Mechanical Work. 8. Install, start up & test one (1) Grit Tank Positive Displacement Blower with alterations in discharge air piping as shown on the contract drawings. Grit Tank Blower complete provided by Owner. Electrical work by Electrical Subcontractor furnished by the Owner. 316 Stainless Steel fasteners furnished and installed as part of Mechanical Work.
