The major items of work include: Replacement of existing mechanical bar screen. A. Provide and install materials & equipment required for a complete, proper, and functional electrical system as shown on the Drawings, as specified herein and as needed for a complete and proper installation. B. Related work: 1. Documents affecting work under this Section include, but are not necessarily limited to, General Conditions, and Sections in Division 1 of these Specifications. C. Work under this Section includes: 1. Install manufacturer provided Mechanical Bar Screen Control Panel. 2. Install manufacturer provided raw sewage influent & effluent radar level transducer as shown on drawings. 3. Provide and install wiring & conduit for power and control of following equipment. a. Mechanical Bar Screen drive motor, motor over temperature switch, proximity switches and local control station. b. Screenings Washer/Compactor drive motor, motor over temperature switch, proximity switch, wash water solenoid valves and local controlstation. c. Exist Manual Bar Screen (Bypass) High alarm float switch. d. Exist wiring and conduits maybe reused. Remove unused wiring. Refer to conduit schedule. Contractor to exercise proper judgement. 4. Interconnect all manufacturer provided field devices with proposed Mechanical Bar Screen Control Panel for a complete working system. 5. Interconnect alarm points from proposed Mechanical Bar Screen Control Panel with exist alarm dialer as shown on drawings. Use the same alarm dialer inputs used for the exist Mechanical Bar Screen Control Panel. 6. Provide assistance when the new equipment is powered up and tested by manufacturer
