PURPOSE: Virginia Western Community College, located in Roanoke, Virginia seeks a qualified bidder to provide fixed and floating isle or max roll benches for plant crop production in the Virginia Western Greenhouse. SCOPE OF WORK: The contractor shall furnish and deliver each of the following described item(s): Quantity Description/Specifications 5 6' x 12' Above Ground Roll-Top Benches Bench units would include the following: o 1 1/2 " Sq. Aluminum Leg sets (Factory Welded) o 1.315" O.D. Galvanized Roll Pipe o 1.205" Sq. Aluminum Bottom Runners o 1" Sq. Aluminum Cross-Supports @ 12" On Center o Aluminum Perimeter Rail o Galvanized Flattened Exp. Metal Bench Tops @ 29" Deck Height (Approx.) Without Leg Levelers o Leg Levelers & Green Plastic Corner Guards Included o All Stainless-Steel Hardware 1 5'6" x 12' Above Ground Roll Top Bench Bench units would include the following: o 1 1/2 " Sq. Without Leg Levelers o Leg Levelers & Green Plastic Corner Guards Included o All Stainless-Steel Hardware 4 4' x 12' Above ground Stationary Benches o Stationary benches are designed the same as the rolling benches less the rolling components. 1 4' x 10' Above Ground Stationary Bench o Stationary benches are designed the same as the rolling benches less the rolling components. 144 Pipe PCS 1.25 x 24' Swedged Pipe for Roll Top Benches o 144' Linear Feet = (12) 12' Sections. Swedged on one end. These will be cut down from 12' to minimize extra freight (oversized) costs. 1 Shipping New benches will be assembled and installed by Virginia Western personnel. Assembly and installation instructions must be included with the benches. Any guarantee and/or warranty documents must also be included with the benches.
